Making an Adoption Lifebook

The Lifebook is an essential learning tool to help your child understand who he is and how he fits into your family. This activity gives the parent a window into their child’s understanding of their adoption story. The focus of this process helps to positively shape your child’s view of his family journey.

While serious work is getting done, we’re also having fun, getting creative, and connecting with other families formed through adoption. Throughout the entire workshop, your family works with a Spence-Chapin social worker, who will individually guide you through the lifebook discussion and construction process.

All materials are provided. Appropriate for families with children ages 7 and older. The Lifebook workshop participant fee is $200 per family.
