Alex is an adorable 4-year-old little boy who has been living in a children’s home in Colombia since a very young age. His caregivers share that he is a special boy who is very kind and affectionate. Since living in the children’s home, Alex has developed very positive relationships with his caregivers.
Alex has a diagnosis of delays in speech and language development, motor development, as well as bilateral hearing loss. He is enrolled in a program very similar to Early Intervention where he receives speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Alex is able to recognize his name and is beginning to express some words and repeat sentences that are said to him. He can firmly grip objects as well as run and kick a ball – one of his favorite activities. Alex is currently meeting with a nutritionist to adjust his diet as his caregivers have noted he is small for his chronological age.
Alex is described as a calm, well-mannered, and very sweet child. His caregivers have stated that he will thrive in a family that understands his needs and are able to give him a lot of love.
