We are looking for a loving, permanent family for a sweet little girl named Anna.  Anna was born in September of 2016 and has been living in a foster home in Colombia since shortly after her birth.

Anna has been diagnosed with Floating-Harbor Syndrome (a genetic disorder associated with delayed bone growth and expressive language/motor development delays) and Gastroesophageal reflux disease, which can sometimes make eating challenging for her.  Anna’s caregivers have been working with a gastroenterologist to adjust her diet accordingly.

To strengthen her language and motor development skills, Anna receives occupational, physical, and speech language therapies. Her caregiver has noted that they have noticed significant progress in her motor development since receiving these therapies.  Anna can grab small objects with her hand, walk without support, and take her clothes and shoes on and off.  Anna communicates her wants and needs through nonverbal communication such as hand gestures and lots of smiles.  Her caregiver reports that she has recently begun to repeat monosyllabic words in conversation.

Anna is described as a cheerful little girl who is active and curious of her surroundings.  She enjoys playing with other children and activities like hide and seek, listening to music, playing with blocks, and going to the park.  When meeting new people Anna is initially shy, but with encouragement allows her vibrant personality to shine through.Anna is in need of a dedicated family who is able to provide the unconditional love and support she deserves.  She is ready to be matched with a family immediately!  If you think you could be the forever family for Anna, contact our Adoption Team at 212-400-8150 or email us at info@spence-chapin.org.
