We are looking for a loving, dedicated family for a young boy named Ian.  Ian is 6 years old and currently resides with a professional foster family in Bulgaria.  His caregivers describe him as ‘a quiet and smiling child.’

Ian has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, severe spastic quadriparesis syndrome, and significant developmental delays.  Ian moves around primarily with the assistance of a wheelchair which he is able to control on his own.  He primarily communicates using nonverbal gestures but is able to vocalize some short words such as ‘mama’ and ‘granny.’

Ian loves when an adult is giving him attention and will laugh loudly to show his excitement.  He has not yet been enrolled in school and spends his time with his foster family.  Ian requires support and the presence of a caregiver to carry out his daily tasks.  His caregivers note that he will do very well in a ‘harmonious environment’ where he is receiving individual care.

Ian is a young boy who is ready to be matched with his forever family immediately!  If you think you could be the forever family for Ian, contact our Adoption Team at 212-400-8150 or email us at info@spence-chapin.org.

Ian’s information is available through our Foreign Supervised Providers in Bulgaria until March 15th, 2021..
