We are looking for a loving, dedicated family for a young boy named Jack. Jack is six years old and resides at a children’s home in South Africa. He is described by his caregivers as being a curious child who ‘loves to play and ask questions’.
Jack has experienced some tough starts in his young life. He lived with his birth mother until he was two years old and was relocated to a children’s home in South Africa. He was previously matched with two domestic South African families, but unfortunately, they chose not to proceed forward with the adoption due to his behavioral needs.
Jack is medically healthy and his caregivers in the children’s home report that he is well behaved in that setting and does well in school. He lives in an English-speaking environment.
Jack has articulated to the social work staff at JCW that he would ‘like to grow up in a family environment’. He currently conceptualizes a family as consisting of a mother and father; Spence-Chapin supports all family types and JCW social workers actively support children in their pre-adoption preparation. Jack is ready to be matched with his forever family immediately! If you think you could be the forever family for Jack, contact our Adoption Team at 212-400-8150 or email us at [email protected].
