We are looking for a forever family for a sweet, outgoing little boy named Jose. Jose is an adorable 6-year-old boy living in a children’s home in Colombia. He enjoys riding bicycles, playing ball games, and completing puzzles.
Jose has experienced some tough starts in his young life and in 2019 was placed in the children’s home where he currently lives. His caregivers note that he can be shy of new people at first but has great capacity to show affection through words and physical contact once an emotional bond has been created.
Jose is currently enrolled in school and transitioning between grades. He is a very active child and enjoys any activity that involves movement. His caregivers have noted that he presents with delays in his motor development as he tends to frequently bump into other objects. His teachers have noted that his language development is on par for a child his age that has experienced adversities as he is able to speak complete phrases using nouns, adjectives, and verbs and can identify colors and shapes. Jose’s teachers have also noted that is often needs support in completing proposed activities as he tends to have a short attention span.
Jose is an incredibly resilient and autonomous child. His caregivers recently shared: “his greatest desire is to have a family that loves and cares for him.” If you think you could be the forever family for Jose, contact our Adoption Team at 212-400-8150 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
