Meet Steliyana, an adorable toddler who is in need of a loving, dedicated, permanent family.

Steliyana just celebrated her 2nd birthday. Her caregivers share with us that she is a calm and joyful little girl who enjoys spending time with the adults around her – she loves to play and laugh out loud with them.  Steliyana feeds and sleeps well and is now able to pronounce prolonged sounds and spontaneous syllables.

Steliyana was born prematurely and has been diagnosed with Quadriparesis – a condition which has caused low muscle tone in all four of her limbs and delays in her psychomotor development, as well as hydrocephaly, double blindness and strabismus. It is anticipated that Steliyana will need intensive physical therapy for the development of her motor skills. She is currently able to roll from her belly to her back and is able to crawl short distances independently. With support on her back, she is able to sit, and she is able to use a walker to push herself backwards short distances.

Steliyana is in need of a dedicated family who can provide her with endless love and support her unique needs. Pictures and videos of Steliyana can be viewed by contacting us today. If you are interested in learning more about Steliyana, contact our Adoption Team at 212-400-8150 or email us at

Steliyana’s information is available through our Foreign Supervised Providers in Bulgaria until January 15th 2020.
