Pre-Adoptive Single Parents Group

Este grupo ofrecerá a los futuros padres solteros la oportunidad de conocer a otras personas que desean ampliar su familia mediante la adopción. Hablaremos de los desafíos y las alegrías particulares asociados con el camino hacia la paternidad en solitario. ¡Únase a nosotros y encuentre una comunidad que lo apoye!

We are facilitating this group on multiple dates – April 6^th, 13^th, 20^th and 27^th. You’re welcome to join us for any session, whether that’s one session, two sessions, or all four!

This event will be facilitated virtually via Zoom; registration is required and the fee for this event is $20 per session or $75 for all 4 sessions.

I am the Coordinator within the Pre and Post Adoption Services department helping families with the documentation needed for the home study process. I am currently working towards obtaining my MSW.  I’m excited to be facilitating this group. I believe everyone benefits when they’re a part of a community and I know that we can build one here. I am excited to meet you all!

I’m a therapist at Spence-Chapin and also work with the team to help people complete the home study process.  I have 10 years of experience working with families in adoption. I approach my work through an attachment and relational approach- I want to get to know you and help you feel confident in your journey in parenting.  I’m happy to be co-facilitating this group because I believe prior to adoption is the best time to build your adoption support network. I look forward to meeting you!
