Since then, the legal and psychological teams in Colombia have determined that it is in Sadie\u2019s best interest to find an adoptive family separate from her brothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sadie is in the 2nd grade, and her favorite class is Spanish. She showed us how she recently lost 6 teeth and told us about the special gift kids in Colombia get when they lose their teeth (like the tooth fairy here in the U.S.). Sadie\u2019s favorite color is blue, and she drew a picture of us together (see below) in blue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sadie studies Capoeira \u2013 an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines dance, acrobatics, music and martial arts. She showed off her backbend skills and hopes to be able to teach Capoeira to others when she grows up. Sadie is currently living in a foster home and said that she likes helping her foster mom in the kitchen and that she just learned how to make her own eggs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to being separated from her two older brothers, Sadie has experienced trauma and abuse in her young life. She receives therapy to help work through this trauma. Sadie needs a family who is loving, active and supportive of her healing journey.
