Dax has been living with a foster family in Colombia since infancy and dreams of finding his forever family through adoption. Maybe that could be you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dax enjoys riding his bike, playing with modeling clay, and any sport involving a ball. He is described as an affectionate, active, and curious child, and he is well bonded with his foster mother. His development is considered on target with his chronological age in all areas. Dax does struggle with some behaviors, especially in school and peer settings, and will benefit from consistency and emotional support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dax is currently prescribed medications for behavioral diagnoses, including Oppositional Defiant Disorder. He is seeing a therapist and an occupational therapist weekly and is being followed by Neuropediatrics. Additionally, his foster mother is working with him in the home on improving his abilities to share and interact with peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children like Dax, who are considered \u2018waiting children\u2019, generally have multi-faceted characteristics and needs which exceed the common characteristics and needs of children otherwise placed in one of our international programs. We are looking for the right family for waiting children because of their unique needs and vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
