Aaron is described as a calm, affectionate, happy little boy who resides in a Children\u2019s Home in Colombia. He responds to caregivers with smiles and sounds, explores his environment with curiosity, putting everything he grabs into his mouth, and he loves to be held by his caregivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aaron experienced a tough start to his young life, being born premature. He is currently diagnosed with Epilepsy, with his most recent seizure occurring in May 2025. Other diagnoses include horizontal nystagmus, post-viral wheezing, and other disorders of the trachea and bronchi. He is treated with medications and therapies and will require ongoing support from the health system. Some of the specialists currently caring for Aaron include pediatric pulmonology, pediatric neurology, pediatric ophthalmology, as well as physical therapy and speech therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children like Aaron, who are considered \u2018waiting children\u2019, generally have multi-faceted characteristics and needs which exceed the common characteristics and needs of children otherwise placed in one of our international programs. We are looking for the right family for waiting children because of their unique needs and vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
