A Virtual Adoptee Support Group for Navigating Adulthood<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For many, transitioning into adulthood brings with it many changes and challenges. Navigating that change as an adoptee can be its own unique experience. Through our Teen Adoptee Mentorship Program, we noticed the need for our Mentorship graduates to have a helping hand as they enter adulthood. The program is now open to all adopted people ages 18-24<\/strong>. Adoptees Adulting is a space to discuss the adoptee experience, professional development, identity, belonging, transitions & more.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

All of our community programming is created for adoptees, by adoptees. Adoptees Adulting is facilitated by Jessica M. Luciere, Spence-Chapin’s Associate Director of Family & Community Support and an adopted person herself.\u00a0<\/p>

Jessica es una adoptada transracial nacida en Bogot\u00e1, Colombia, que creci\u00f3 en Long Island, Nueva York. Ella es una Defensora de los Adoptados y trabaja para crear espacios de apoyo para los adoptados y sus familias. Jessica fue una de las mentoras fundadoras del programa de Mentor\u00eda para Adolescentes de la Ciudad de Nueva York que comenz\u00f3 en 2006, y ahora es la Gerente de Participaciones Comunitarias en Spence-Chapin, supervisando toda la programaci\u00f3n comunitaria.
