Se aprob\u00f3 una extensi\u00f3n hasta 2011 del Cr\u00e9dito Fiscal por Adopci\u00f3n como parte del proyecto de ley de reforma de la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica que fue promulgado por el Presidente Obama el lunes 22 de marzo de 2010. Se ha confirmado que no es parte de la reconciliaci\u00f3n actual y que ser\u00e1 ley hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2011. La pr\u00f3rroga eleva el cr\u00e9dito m\u00e1ximo a $13,170 para el a\u00f1o fiscal 2010.<br \/>\nEl Cr\u00e9dito Fiscal por Adopci\u00f3n hace que la adopci\u00f3n sea una opci\u00f3n viable para muchas familias que de otro modo no podr\u00edan pagarla y ayuda a encontrar hogares permanentes para m\u00e1s ni\u00f1os en los EE. UU. e internacionalmente. Lo que significa es que los padres adoptivos pueden reclamar un cr\u00e9dito fiscal por gastos de adopci\u00f3n calificados en su declaraci\u00f3n de impuestos federales sobre la renta.
