El \u00e9xito, en este contexto, se define como identificar pa\u00edses donde hay ni\u00f1os que necesitan familias y confirmar que el pa\u00eds cuenta con sistemas para procesar las adopciones de manera transparente y \u00e9tica. Sud\u00e1frica cumple perfectamente estos criterios.<\/p>\n<p style=\"white-space: pre-wrap;\"><strong>Entonces, \u00bfqu\u00e9 hace que Sud\u00e1frica sea diferente?<\/strong>&nbsp; Despu\u00e9s de haber colocado a ni\u00f1os con familias de B\u00e9lgica y Finlandia durante muchos a\u00f1os, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jhbchildwelfare.org.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sociedad de Bienestar Infantil de Johannesburgo<\/a> (JCW) tiene experiencia en adopciones internacionales y cuenta con procedimientos formalizados. JCW se esfuerza por proporcionar un entorno que atienda el desarrollo general de los ni\u00f1os bajo su cuidado, que incluye sus necesidades f\u00edsicas, emocionales, espirituales y educativas. Si bien muchos orfanatos en todo el mundo luchan por satisfacer las necesidades b\u00e1sicas de los ni\u00f1os bajo su cuidado, los orfanatos que visitamos en Sud\u00e1frica pudieron ir m\u00e1s all\u00e1. Al comprender el impacto cr\u00edtico que tiene el contacto f\u00edsico y emocional durante las primeras etapas de desarrollo de un ni\u00f1o, en 2011 Spence-Chapin estableci\u00f3 su primer <a href=\"\/es\/granny\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Programa de abuelas<\/a> en \u00c1frica en el Othendweni Family Care Center, un orfanato en Soweto que alberga a 90 ni\u00f1os, 30 de los cuales tienen edades comprendidas entre unos pocos d\u00edas y cuatro a\u00f1os.  A trav\u00e9s de este programa, los ni\u00f1os son emparejados con mujeres experimentadas en estas comunidades, quienes pasan un tiempo especial individualizado con cada uno de ellos.
