Voices of Adoption: Adoptee Stories About Search and Reunion

  •  November 21, 2019
     5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Thinking about starting a birth parent search? Curious about search and reunion? Want to hear stories from others who have reunited with birth relatives?

Join us for a night of conversation about the complexities of search and reunion. No matter where you are in the search process, you’ll walk away having connected with other adoptees who can relate to your experiences and understand the questions you may have.

Hosted by Jessica Luciere, an adoptee and adoption advocate.

Jessica M. Luciere is the Community Liaison for Spence-Chapin Services to Families & Children. Jessica also runs and maintains the agency’s Adoption Mentorship Program, which is a social program for adolescent adopted tweens/teens and their adult mentors. Jessica was a founding member of the Program, has been a mentor for over 15 years and brings a wealth of experience. She is an adoptee who first came to Spence-Chapin in the early 2000s as a panelist, speaking to prospective adoptive parents, adoptees and all those connected to the adoption constellation. Over the years, she has been involved in many mentoring programs and has become a voice for adoptees both in NYC and the surrounding areas.

This event is recommended for adult adoptees 18 and older. Advance registration is required. To learn more, please contact us at (646) 539-2167 or postadoptionservices@spence-chapin.org
