We are a bi-national (French-Mexican) gay couple. We met twelve years ago in Mexico and have lived in New York for the past eight years. We have built a great life together in New York and we now feel ready to expand our family. So far, our home is only filled with the two of us and our two cats, Darius and Tlaloc, and there is a lot of space in our hearts (but also in our home!) to welcome a new member in our family. We would like to raise one or two children, and we know we can count with the support of our families and our friends. We want to give our children every opportunity to become the person they choose to be and we will support the choices they make. We will show them all the things and places we love, guide them the best we can, and teach them to be good human beings, respectful of others and caring for them.

We are both hard workers and we love what we do. José is a dedicated doctor and a researcher, and Pierre teaches political science and is a fundraiser. For us, education is very important, and we want to give our children all the opportunities to realize their dreams. At home we speak French, Spanish, and English, so we think it will be fun for our children to grow in three languages! We work a lot, but we also like to have fun and share moments with the people we love. Our families live abroad, but we have very good friends in New York, and we love receiving them at home for dinner. We are also big fans of the opera and theater, so we like to catch a show whenever we can.
Our families live in other countries, so we do not see them as often as we would like, but we love to visit them at least once or twice a year. They also come and visit us for a few days every year. We especially enjoy spending moments like the year-end holidays with them. We speak over the phone and text constantly, so we are close in spite of the distance. Pierre has one brother, and José has two. They are all excited about our plans to expand our family.
“We want to grow our family, and you are the persons who are going to make this dream possible for us – and for that we are so grateful. We hope to have a chance to meet you – if you want to – and we want you to know that we will do everything we can to give the best life possible to our child. Thank you very much for thinking that we could be good parents; it means a lot to us.”
