Juncal

My name is Juncal. I was born and raised in Spain and I moved to New York City at the end of 2009. I live in Brooklyn in a very vibrant and family-friendly neighborhood. I work in an international organization and my job has taken me to various corners of the world.

I have a close loving big family and a wide circle of good friends, close and afar. I try to spend as much time as I can with them. I had my first niece 15 years ago and from the moment I met her, I knew I wanted to be a mother.

I love nature, sports and any activity outdoors. I just run my first marathon.

I dream of a more equal, just and free world. I am currently learning how to reduce the waste I produce and other ways to live a life more caring for the environment.

About Juncal

Juncal I

Job Description
Working in an international organization on women’s rights issues

Hobbies
Outdoor activities, dance, movies

Fun Fact
I love singing, but I sing horribly. I am the worst nightmare to my friends in karaoke.

My Life

I enjoy the arts, entertainment and fun that New York offers, and I equally love getting out of the city to spend a day in the beach, mountain or small village by the river.

I love traveling and seeing new places, although I use most of my leave from work to go to Spain and spend time with my family and friends.

I hope my child and I can travel around the world and learn together different forms of living and being. I would love for my child to grow freely into the person s/he wants to be.

My Family

I am so excited about welcoming a child in my life, in the life of my family and that of my friends. My mother, her husband, my older brother and his family, and my mom’s husband’s daughter and her family live in Spain. My oldest sister and her family live in Switzerland and my youngest sister is now living in West Africa. My oldest niece is 15 and my youngest (step)nephew is 4. I am also close to many of my uncles, aunts and cousins, and I have a great group of friends that I call family. They all know about my decision to adopt and are very supportive.

Final Thoughts

“Most probably if you are reading this you are considering making an adoption plan for your baby. I truly hope you are having the space, information and support to consider the different options available. If you end up making an adoption plan for your child, I hope you find a family that you feel is right for him/her and for you. If you think I can be to your baby the parent you want, please contact me. I will be very happy to chat more and learn more about each other.”
