Kevin & Mike

We are Kevin and Mike! We are happy for you to get to know us and hope to meet you soon! We’ve both wanted to be Dads our entire lives and consider the opportunity to adopt your child the most fulfilling gift we could ever receive.

We met in 2014 and instantly connected through our shared morals, values, work ethics, sense of fun and adventure, a love of television and music and a shared desire to begin a family (Kevin is such a kid at heart and Mike’s got quite a nurturing personality). We live in a warm, large apartment in Chelsea with our miniature dachshund Lucy. We are fortunate to be surrounded by parks, playgrounds, museums, art galleries, restaurants, piers, schools and all the fun things New York has to offer. We have large families in New York and throughout the country that are very supportive and are waiting with open arms and open hearts to welcome a new addition to the family!

Kevin is originally from California and came to New York to start his career as an anesthesiologist and now works in two city hospitals in The Bronx, in both the OR and labor and delivery. Mike is from Yonkers and has lived in the New York area his entire life, working in politics before starting his accounting career in the music industry. Our careers helped shape who we are and have allowed us to get to a place of financial and personal security. We have been blessed and have so much to offer a child.

Our Lives

We both strive for a healthy, fun balance to life. We love to travel the world in search of adventure (our favorite places have been Iceland and Thailand); we visit amusement parks, hike in the mountains and go to the beach; we jet ski any chance we get, catch Broadway and comedy shows, and religiously following our favorite bands on tour. But we at our truest nature are very laid back, down to Earth, calm, stable people. We love to relax at home, binge watch Netflix, make a home cooked meal and have game nights with our friends. We love taking our dog to the park, strolling through our neighborhood in search of coffee or ice cream or a fun street fair, meeting friends for brunch, or just catching a matinee showing of a cool new movie. We both love mysteries and puzzles (on TV and in real life), and we love to showcase our teamwork and detective skills when we participate in those interactive “Escape The Room” games!

Our Family

Family is very important to us! We both love our Moms and consider them our best friends and supporters. We enjoy being the fun uncles to seven nieces and nephews. We spend Christmas in California and summer vacations at the lake house in Michigan with Kevin’s family. Mike’s family lives in Westchester and upstate New York so our lives are filled with suburban and country adventures: soccer games, birthday parties for his very large extended family, pool parties and barbecues, Sunday morning breakfasts at Nana’s house, snow tubing and sledding in the winter, apple picking in the fall, visits to the botanical gardens in the spring, and stays at the Jersey Shore in the summer.

Final Thoughts

Education, family, and a rich, diverse, multicultural world experience are three values we as a couple have for raising children. Teaching our children family values, expanding their intellectual curiosities and exposing them to every opportunity life has to offer them is our main goal. Ensuring they are confident, loved, and happy will be our daily mission. Raising a child in the city, but giving them suburban and country experiences, is something we feel is important.

“Being two Dads, we hope you, as Mom, can be a part of the baby’s life! Our intention is to have your child grow up with a love and understanding of his/her birth family and we will fully embrace and celebrate their cultural heritage!

We can’t wait for the day we can turn our favorite songs into lullabies and sing baby to sleep!”
