Ivy is a funny girl who likes to make people laugh. She lives in a children\u2019s home in Colombia. Her favorite color is red, and her favorite food is yucca. She likes laughing, making jokes, and listening to music. She dreams of becoming a hairdresser or a skater when she grows up.  When our team asked Ivy if she had a superpower, what would it be, she said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI would be happy and I would have a family who loves me\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about what she would like in an adoptive family, Ivy shared:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI hope for parents that like to travel, speak English and have good energy with big hearts.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ivy gets good grades in school and is described by her caregivers as loving and affectionate. She is diagnosed with \u201cDisturbance of Activity and Attention\u201d and is receiving supportive services, including medication management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ivy came into the child welfare system along with her older sister, however, psychologists determined that there was not a strong affectionate bond and that it would serve the girls better if they were each adopted individually by different families. This does not preclude Ivy from re-connecting with her sister in the future and a prospective adoptive family would be encouraged to support these efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
