Carrie shared her experiences at home with her husband, Joe, and their son, Charlie.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s\nme, my husband, Joe, and our 15-month-old son, Charlie.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4e00\u5bb6\u4eba\u4e00\u9f4a\u904e\u5481\u591a\u6642\u9593\uff0c\u6700\u9a5a\u559c\u5605\u4fc2\u54a9\uff1f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How well we’ve been\nable to get along!  At the beginning, I thought for sure being stuck at\nhome together day in and day out, we’d (figuratively) kill each other.  It\nwas really hard at first, but we’ve adjusted now, found a rhythm, and are\nmaking the best of it.  I’m amazed we’re actually functioning, both as\nworking adults and as parents.  And even though it’s hard to try to work a\nfull-time job while juggling a toddler, it has been nice getting to spend this\nmuch time with him.  He took his first steps one morning and had he been\nat daycare, we would have missed that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s been the biggest\nchallenge? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juggling our full-time\njobs while taking care of a 15-month old!  I know parents with kids of all\nages are struggling with different challenges, but caring for a toddler with\nalmost no ability to be independent in any way is really hard when you’re on\nvideo calls all day.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s the funniest thing\nCharlie did this week?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the weather is nice, it’s\ncommon for us and our neighbors to leave our front doors open.  Charlie\nhas taken to standing at the door and yelling at the outside world for a solid\n10 minutes.  It’s highly entertaining!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s your favorite spot to\nspend time alone in your house and how long do you typically get away with\nit? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’d say my kitchen, but I don’t\noften get to be alone in there.  So I’ll say my couch.  I stay up\nlater than my husband, and at night after he and Charlie have gone to bed, I’ll\nget some time to myself to watch bad TV or read a good book.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you aren\u2019t busy taking\ncare of everyone else, what are you doing to take care of yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooking and\nreading.  And if I get to do those things alone, even better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s a piece of advice you\nhave for other Spence families who are maybe going a little stir crazy at\nhome? <\/strong>\n\nTry to get outside at least\nonce a day, if you can.  If you have a partner or spouse, lean on\nthem.  We all get on each other’s nerves from time to time, but reminding\nmyself to take a deep breath and be calm has helped keep me from losing my\nmind.  \n\n\n\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
