Local news stations, community centers, and adoption organizations often have activities to celebrate adoption around the country. Spence-Chapin staff members say those of us with personal connections to adoption can be powerful voices in promoting adoption, breaking down myths, and bringing attention to the children here and around the world waiting for permanent families.&nbsp; Here are Spence-Chapin\u2019s ideas for how to celebrate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationaladoptionday.org\/\">\u5168\u570b\u6536\u990a\u6708<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Support a friend or family member who is adopting. <\/strong>Send a note to someone adopting to let them know you\u2019re thinking of them and supporting their family.<\/li><li><strong>Attend an event to learn about adoption. <\/strong>Join an event in your community to learn about adoption and hear from birth parents, adoptive parents, and\/or adoptees!<\/li><li><strong>Spread the word! <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/adoptuskids.org\/\">Share information<\/a> about adoption with your community on social media: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/spencechapin\">\u81c9\u66f8<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/spencechapinsvc\/\">Instagram<\/a>, \uff0c \u540c <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpenceChapinSvc\">\u63a8\u7279<\/a> including how to adopt and the children waiting for adoption!<\/li><li><strong>Volunteer with a foster care or adoption organization.<\/strong> Many non-profit organizations couldn\u2019t fulfill their mission without the help of dedicated and passionate volunteers!<\/li><li><strong>Fundraise for an adoptive family or adoption organization.<\/strong> Adoptive families are often responsible for many different adoption expenses and their non-profit adoption agencies want to keep adoption as affordable as possible. Donate today to your favorite child-welfare organization or a family who is adopting!<\/li><li><strong>Encourage your office to offer adoption benefits.<\/strong> Adoption benefits are not universally available to new adoptive parents. Encourage your company to be recognized as an <a href=\"https:\/\/davethomasfoundation.org\/partner\/become-an-adoption-friendly-workplace\/\">Adoption-Friendly Workplace<\/a> by the Dave Thomas Foundation.<\/li><li><strong>Write about your experience or connection to adoption.<\/strong> Bring attention to adoption by writing about your experience or connection to adoption on a blog or social media!!
