On our recent trip to Colombia, we were able to catch up with our young friend Bryce whom we met last year. Bryce’s number one dream remains finding a family of his very own! Like most young teens, Bryce likes playing video games and soccer. He previously enjoyed a trip to the U.S. and would love to travel more in the future. He is enjoying studying English and social sciences in school.
QUESTION: What type of adoptive family are you hoping for?
Bryce: “I hope for parents who are patient, loving and good people.”
Children like Bryce, who are considered ‘waiting children’ generally have multi-faceted characteristics and needs which exceed the common characteristics and needs of children otherwise placed in one of our international programs. Simply being a teenager makes it statistically more difficult to find an adoptive family! We are looking for the right family for waiting children because of their unique needs and vulnerabilities.
