Marcus, a cheerful and curious child, is living in a foster home in Colombia. He attends a pre-Kindergarten program and enjoys playing with balls and participating in structured activities with his peers. He shows particular interest in painting and creative play.
Marcus has developmental delays, especially with his speech, for which he is receiving therapy and making progress.
Children like Marcus, who are considered ‘waiting children’, generally have multi-faceted characteristics and needs which exceed the common characteristics and needs of children otherwise placed in one of our international programs. We are looking for the right family for waiting children because of their unique needs and vulnerabilities.
