We recently returned from Colombia, where we visited with this sibling pair whom we met last year, Jack and Sadie. These two are closely bonded and dream of finding a forever family together.
Sadie is really good at Capoeira, likes beautiful dresses and the color pink. Her big brothers are protective of her and they both enjoy sports. Jack enjoys painting with the colors of the Colombian flag. Jack and Sadie love to eat Hawaiian pizza but like most kids, they do not like broccoli.
Question: If you had a superpower, what would it be?
Jack: “To be Batman!”
Sadie: “To be invisible.”
These sweet siblings have faced adversity in their young lives and need a forever family who can provide them with love, affection and consistency. Simply being part of a sibling group places you in the “Waiting Child” category as it is statistically more difficult to find an adoptive family for siblings.
Siblings like Jack and Sadie, who are considered ‘waiting children’, generally have multi-faceted characteristics and needs which exceed the common characteristics and needs of children otherwise placed in one of our international programs. We are looking for the right family for waiting children because of their unique needs and vulnerabilities.
