Identity: A Panel Discussion

This virtual training is designed to support you in your preparation for parenting through intercountry adoption. Identity is widely recognized as an important, individualized, and complex process among adoptees. We will discuss the crucial role parents play in helping their children develop a healthy identity that incorporates all aspects of who they are. Through a panel discussion with adult adoptees we will explore how experiences of transracial/transcultural families impact a child’s identity development. We will take time to answer your individual questions and create an opportunity for group discussion with other prospective adoptive parents who may serve as a support system to you and your child!
