Spence-Chapin 擴大亞利桑那州嘅存在,以滿足對產婦、收養同家庭支援服務日益增長嘅需求

National nonprofit brings more than a century of expertise and a comprehensive, ethical adoption model to families across Arizona.

PHOENIX (August 4, 2026) – 斯彭斯 - 查平為家庭同兒童提供嘅服務 is expanding its presence in Arizona with offices in Phoenix and Tucson, increasing access to adoption services and lifelong support for birth and expectant parents, adoptive families and children. Through its Arizona offices, the nonprofit is committed to building meaningful partnerships with local organizations while helping families navigate every stage of the adoption journey.

For more than 115 years, Spence-Chapin has helped children find loving, permanent families and today provides adoption and family support services throughout the United States and internationally.

“We are honored to become part of Arizona’s community and work alongside the many organizations already supporting children and families,” said Kate Trambitskaya, CEO of Spence-Chapin. “Our goal is to build meaningful partnerships, remove barriers to accessing adoption and family support services and ensure women and families have access to compassionate, ethical care throughout every step of their journey.”

Since establishing its Arizona operations, Spence-Chapin has built partnerships with hospitals, behavioral health providers and family-serving organizations across the state while already helping local families navigate counseling, adoption planning and placement services, including facilitating its first Arizona adoption placements.

A hallmark of Spence-Chapin’s approach is its commitment to removing barriers through a transparent flat-fee adoption model, which helps families better understand and plan for adoption costs, along with guidance before, during and after placement.

The organization provides comprehensive domestic adoption services, including its longstanding nationwide 特殊需要收養計劃, the only program of its kind in the country, which supports expectant parents who receive an unanticipated diagnosis or experience a complication during pregnancy or after birth. The program connects infants and children who have a wide range of medical and developmental needs, including those resulting from prenatal substance exposure, with permanent, loving families while waiving all professional placement fees. Since the program’s inception in 1995, Spence-Chapin has placed over 550 medically fragile children with their forever families.

Spence-Chapin provides free, confidential and nonjudgmental counseling for new and expectant parents, regardless of circumstance or immigration status. The organization connects women experiencing unplanned pregnancies and crisis situations to housing, healthcare, legal and community resources and provides financial assistance for pregnancy-related expenses as permitted by state law.

Spence-Chapin also offers temporary newborn respite care through its 中期照顧計劃, which provides short-term care for infants while birth parents maintain their parental rights, allowing them additional time to consider their options. The organization also provides domestic and international home study and comprehensive post-placement services.

Beyond its domestic adoption programs, Spence-Chapin’s global impact extends through its 國際收養計劃, which connect children from South Africa, Colombia, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the Eastern Caribbean with loving families across the United States. The organization’s humanitarian initiatives also include the 奶奶計劃, which benefits more than 500 children living in orphanages in Colombia, South Africa and Ghana each year. The program trains and matches “Grannies,” caregivers from local communities, with children in institutional care to provide consistent one-on-one nurturing and support, helping them reach developmental milestones and thrive.

“At Spence-Chapin, adoption is not a single event but a lifelong journey,” said Katy Zaragoza, manager of adoption services at Spence-Chapin Arizona. “Families need support before, during and long after placement, and expectant parents deserve access to unbiased information, resources and compassionate care that empowers them to make the decisions that are best for themselves and their children.”
