We offer home study assessments for all countries offering intercountry adoption which includes coordination with your primary agency to ensure that all state, USCIS, and country requirements are met. As a client of Spence-Chapin, you will also have access to free international adoption trainings, a wealth of resources to support you and your child as well as post-placement and post-adoption support and supervision services. Spence-Chapin offers kinship and relative international adoption home study services to support families looking to adopt a relative or children known to them. We bring a special understanding of the adjustment needs of families adopting relative children and work with you to ensure that state, USCIS and country requirements, inclusive of post-placement or post-adoption supervision are met. Additionally, for families within 100 miles of NYC who are seeking to adopt a relative child, or a child known to them from Jamaica or the Eastern Caribbean, Spence-Chapin offers a full-service adoption program and can serve families as both the home study agency and primary provider. Spence-Chapin’s home study fees reflect the work and support we dedicate to your family. To reduce barriers to adoption, fees are not incurred all at once but are charged incrementally as services are rendered. FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR YOUR ADOPTION

Spence-Chapin is committed to reducing barriers to adoption and partners with the experts at Your Adoption Finance Coach to provide our families with free access to experts, tools, and content that can take the worry out of financing your adoption. Additionally, the Federal Adoption Tax Credit can greatly offset the costs of adoption. The Adoption Tax Credit is up to $17,280 per adoption, taken in the tax year in which your adoption is finalized.
