Nina is an affectionate two-year-old child living in a foster home in Colombia. Her foster mother describes her as loving, intelligent and curious. She loves getting hugs and kisses and being picked up and carried. Nina loves to go to the park, playing with dolls and stuffed animals, painting and playing with play dough. She loves music and is full of energy, dancing and running.
Nina has a diagnosis of Arnold-Chiari syndrome and is closely monitored by specialists and has been making significant developmental progress and is currently showing age-appropriate motor development. Additional diagnoses include strabismus and microcephaly.
Nina has a complicated family history and has been in the child welfare system since shortly after being born.
