Siya Madikane is a philanthropist dedicated to helping disadvantaged children, particularly in the fields of education and health. Siya attended Pepperdine University and received his B.S. in History in 2007. Upon graduation he worked for IMG’s Consulting group in New York, then transitioned to the IMG Events and Sponsorship group in London and India until 2015 when he turned his focus to philanthropy. Siya was born in Soweto, South Africa, and lived in an orphanage until the age of 10 when his life changed through adoption. Siya served on the Board of Directors for The Character Connection Initiative, which uses character education to empower adolescents in strengthening their confidence, competence, and compassion through character education and mindfulness. He also joined the Board of The Africa Center, situated on Fifth Avenue in Harlem, which transforms the world’s understanding of Africa, its Diaspora, and the role of people of African descent in the world.
