Amanda & Bill

amanda bill ft

We are a happily married couple who are spiritual and compassionate. We are looking to expand our family through adoption. We met ten years ago and soon discovered a deep joyful connection with each other, as we both were seeking to find our place in the world where we could best use our gifts and abilities to better our communities. We are very family-oriented people who deeply value close relationships.

As with most people, we have had to face significant challenges in life, but we believe that these experiences have made us resilient and appreciative of the support we have received from family and friends. It’s important to live our lives in service of others, so we actively volunteer in several programs through our parish (Share a Meal: cooking and delivering homemade food to elders and Respite: caring for children & young adults with special needs to give their parents a night out).

It is your selfless act of love and compassion that gives us the honor of becoming parents. With our child, we are excited to be able to have family meals, game nights, and story time before bed, but mostly to give our love and create those little memories of happiness and adventure that will be kept forever.

Our Lives

We lead active lives, and our kitchen is always a place bustling with good food and company. But we truly value balance, taking time to unwind in our new home with our beloved dog, Max. During the week, we both spend a lot of time at school. Amanda is pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology and Bill teaches high school religion and philosophy. No matter what we’re working on, we always make time for meaningful conversations. Whether it’s Bill answering a student’s questions about challenges they face or Amanda mentoring women who are struggling. On the weekends, we love to start the morning with a hike at a local beach or park (Max loves the outdoors). We also venture out on road trips several times a year. Recent destinations include Maryland (to visit our new niece), Boston (to reconnect with college friends), and Maine (where we discovered amazing homemade ice cream and seaside hikes).

Our Family

We are grateful to be part of a lively community of family, friends and neighbors that is very supportive. Bill’s twin brother, sister-in-law and our niece Cassandra are an important part of our lives and we frequently enjoy meals with Bill’s parents and sister who live close by. We especially love the holidays where our large extended family has a tradition of gathering for big meals, boisterous conversations, and exciting board games. Christmas Eve is always a memorable event where we get to catch up on everyone’s stories and taste cousin Mike’s latest recipe. For us, there’s nothing better than spending quality time with the people we love, and making lasting memories along the way.

Final Thoughts

Thank you for making such a significant decision for your child. This is surely an emotional and challenging time in your life. May you always be aware of the profound gift that you are bringing forth into the world. May your life be blessed with beauty, peace, and happiness.
