Ryan & Brennan

ryan brennan ft

Hi! We are Ryan and Brennan, and we are so glad you are here. We can only imagine the love and strength behind the choice you are weighing, and however you came to be reading this, we know you’ll end up making the best decision for you and your family.

We met in 2021, and our first date was a brunch then along walk through Central Park. We fell for each other over a shared sense of humor and the same hopes for the future, and we have built a home together in New York City grounded in trust, patience, and a whole lot of laughter.

Adoption has always been close to our hearts. Brennan grew up in a multiracial family alongside two younger sisters who were adopted, so we have seen the lifelong bonds it creates. We hope to eventually welcome two children, giving them the wonderful bond of growing up with a sibling, and extending the love we were lucky to have growing up.

More than anything, we want you to know that your child would grow up feeling deeply loved, proud of exactly who they are, and respected every single day.

Our Lives

We love the rhythm of our life together in New York City. We are steady and organized, but also playful and a little silly: many evenings could end with Brennan and Ryan at the stove, competing for who should be that night’s official taste-tester, music playing, and the two of us laughing about our day. On weekends you will find us exploring local parks, seeing whatever new movie is out, trying new restaurants, or traveling so Brennan can cheer Ryan on at a fitness race.

We can already picture your child in this life. We imagine slow weekend pancakes, trips to the playground and the pool down the block, lazy museum afternoons, bedtime stories, and vacations near and far. More than anything, we will give your child a home where they feel safe, cherished, and free to be exactly who they are.

Our Family

Our family is full of love, different backgrounds, and people who cannot wait to meet your child. Ryan is Canadian, born in Toronto with family roots in Hong Kong. His parents and brother are now in California and Toronto, and they stay close through regular calls, texts, and trips. Brennan is especially close with his sister, Yvonne, and her son, our nephew Theo; when we visit, Ryan ends up on the floor building Lego towers while Brennan is on snack and bedtime-story duty.

We also have a tight circle of lifelong friends, including some who have adopted children of their own, who are ready to welcome a little one with open arms. We love our holiday gatherings and family traditions, and as a household that already spans cultures, we will help your child feel proud of every part of who they are.

Final Thoughts

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for taking the time to get to know us and for considering us as you make this loving and courageous choice. Whatever you decide, we wish you peace and strength, and if you choose us, we promise to raise your child with all the love, respect, and joy we have.
