Voices of Adoption – Adoptees in the LGBTQ+ community

  •  June 24, 2021
     6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join host Zack Fried, transracial domestic Adoptee, in an evening of discussion for adoptees who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. In honor of PRIDE month, this space was created to not only support the adoptee voices, but adoptees who identify as LGBTQ+. This open platform will allow those in attendance to hear and learn from one another, and to share the adoptee experience from our perspective. The LGBTQ+ community’s light is often dimmed, and this VOA discussion is a chance for attendees to openly and safely talk about any and all aspects of being adopted and LGBTQ+. This will be a FREE event and will be hosted virtually via Zoom and is only open to the LGBTQ+ adoptee community.

Voices of Adoption (VOA) is an adoptee-led and run evening for adoptees only. VOA is not a clinical group, but a space for all adoptees, both internationally and domestically adopted, to share stories, hear from one another and talk about the topics that are important to them. All adult adoptees (18+) are welcome and there is no expectation to share. We ask everyone to come with an open mind, be respectful of one another and remember that each of us have our own unique experiences and stories.

We hope to see you there!
