Attachment, Trauma and Loss: Training for International Adoption December

In this training we will discuss the foundation of attachment and the attachment difficulties that can present in adoption. We will explore themes of grief, loss and trauma that are inherent in international adoption and will discuss how children manifest their trauma through their behavior. We will additionally explore techniques adoptive parents can use to help their child manage their trauma and loss history.

This event will take place via Zoom. Advanced registration is required. If you are completing your home study with Spence-Chapin or previously completed your home study with Spence-Chapin and are awaiting placement, there is no fee for you for this event and you can register by emailing [email protected]. If you are not working with Spence-Chapin for your home study, the fee for this event is $40 and you can register below.
