This training will explore the impact of grief and loss in international adoption and how you can support your child in this reality throughout their life. We will also discuss how to talk with your child about their adoption story as they grow and how to respond to questions and comments from others. We will end the day with a workshop presented by Dr. Melissa Goldstein, a medical specialist in international adoption who will present on common medical needs for internationally adopted children and discuss follow-up care once your child is home. This training is FREE for families adopting with Spence-Chapin or completing their home study with Spence-Chapin. If you are not working with Spence-Chapin for your adoption or your home study you are still welcome at a fee of $200 for attendance January 10th, January 11th or both!
