International Adoption Training: Identity in Adoption and Behavior Management

  •  January 10, 2020
     8:30 am - 6:00 pm

We will begin the day with a workshop on parenting a child of a different race or culture and discussion of the crucial role that parents play in helping their children develop a healthy identity that incorporates all aspects of who they are. In the afternoon, we will explore discipline and behavior management practices for children who have experienced pre-adoption traumas. In the evening, we will be joined by a panel of international adoptive parents who will share their experiences. This training is FREE for families adopting with Spence-Chapin or completing their home study with Spence-Chapin. If you are not working with Spence-Chapin for your adoption or your home study you are still welcome at a fee of $200 for attendance January 10th, January 11th or both!
