Lifebook Workshop (18+)

  •  August 5, 2023
     12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This Lifebook event is open to adoptees 18+ who are who were born internationally and domestically, in-person at the Spence-Chapin offices on August 5th from 12-3pm. Participants create their “Lifebook” which tells the story of them! By adding, photographs, letters and other memorabilia, adoptees create a physical book that represents themselves, the important people, places, and things in their life, in their own words. Participants are welcome to bring these items with them to add to their books. Spence-Chapin will provide art materials and embellishments to add to each page/chapter, as well as the books themselves. Adoptees are invited to bring copies of their original paperwork to be added to a special section within each binder.

Lifebook is a reflection of where we were, who we are now, and where we are going, through a creative lens, alongside peers.

Hosted by Spence-Chapin staff who, themselves are adoptees, Lifebook is open to those who have began to explore their identities as adopted people, and those who may not yet have. All are welcome!

This event is a great space for participants to grow their own community, to hear from one another, and enjoy a creative afternoon together.

This Lifebook event is open to adoptees ONLY. Lunch will be provided.
