Our family is currently composed of the two of us (Avi and Andrew) as well as our two rescue dogs, Maggie and Milo. From early on in our relationship, we knew we both wanted kids, and adoption was always a path we saw for ourselves in expanding our family. We cannot wait for the day to welcome our child home, and surround him/her with abundant love and care.

Psychiatrist

Playing with our dogs, spending time with the animals at the nearby petting zoo, hosting horror movie & Nintendo nights with friends, exploring the latest consumer technology, deep-diving into random historical topics of interest
Fun Fact
Andrew is a long-time animal lover. Other than cuddling and playing with the dogs, one of his favorite weekend activities is walking over to the local petting zoo, and spending time with all the adorable farm animals that live there. He feels a special connection with all animals, and cherishes his recent travel experiences interacting closely with rescued elephants, goofy goats, wild monkeys, and affectionate alpacas.
Our Lives
We recently moved into our first home in the Hudson Valley, NY, surrounded by nature, culture and the arts. We chose to live here based on its small-town feel combined with the advantages of a small city. Most weeknights, you can find us at home listening to old records, playing board games, watching a film from our “Movie Must-Watch List,” and sharing lots of laughter. Our weekends are important times for us to unplug and connect with each other, our families and our community. We are often organizing events for our local community, which we have helped build over the last 5 years. When seeking a quieter weekend, we likely will be finishing home improvement projects, or exploring a local hiking trail, watering hole or antique shop.
Our Family
We both come from close-knit, loving families. Avi grew up with his mom, dad, and three older siblings, while Andrew grew up with his mom, dad, and two older siblings. Between the two of us, we’re lucky to have nine nieces and nephews, who bring so much joy, laughter, and energy into our lives. We prioritize spending holidays and family milestones together whenever we can. Being connected to the people we love is deeply important to us. Our families are overjoyed for us to grow our family and are ready to welcome a child with open arms. We were both raised in religious Jewish homes, and while our own practice has become more open and personal over time, the tradition and culture remain a meaningful part of our daily lives. We look forward to sharing these traditions—along with a home filled with warmth, celebration, and inclusivity —with our child.
Final Thoughts
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We are deeply grateful that you are even considering us, knowing what a profoundly difficult decision this must be for you. Should you choose us, we promise your child will be surrounded with our love, support, and laughter every day of their lives. We have spent many years building a full and vibrant life together- the only thing missing is being able to share it all with our future child.
