Joshua & Erica

joshua erica ft

Joshua and I have been together for 3 1/2 years, always dreaming of starting a family. After exploring traditional methods and IVF, we’ve decided to embrace the joy of adoption. We believe in the power of providing a loving home to a child in need and are excited about the unique experiences and perspectives that adoption can bring to our family.

About Joshua

I’m Joshua, a 41-year-old IT Manager with over 20 years of experience. In my free time, I love staying active with Top Golf, biking, and hiking. I also enjoy the thrill of go-kart racing and the relaxation of video games and swimming.

About Erica

Hi! My name’s Erica. I’m a 44-year-old elementary school teacher with 21 years of experience in NYC public schools. Currently, I’m passionate about nurturing young minds through theater, leading a drama program for young students age 4-12, and coaching cheerleading. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy the great outdoors—gardening, hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. In the winter, you can find me on the slopes, snowboarding or skiing. And when I’m not exploring nature, I love crafting, reading, and playing music.

Fun Facts

Joshua’s mother was born in Central America, and our family cherished our visits there. I, too, share a deep connection to nature, which I nurture through my love of hiking and the outdoors. As a big foodie, I enjoy exploring new restaurants and experimenting with different cuisines in the kitchen. Erica is an adventurous, creative spirit with a penchant for adrenaline. I’ve had the privilege of traveling extensively across the US and the globe. One of my most memorable experiences was a three-week road trip across the US, where I hiked, explored, camped, and even tried canyoneering. I’ve also had the thrill of snowboarding in the stunning landscapes of Austria, Switzerland, and France.

Our Lives

Our warm, loving home is filled with laughter and joy. We cherish quality time together, whether it’s hiking, exploring museums, or simply relaxing at home. Our friendly neighborhood offers diverse opportunities for our child to connect with others. We believe in creating a supportive environment where our child can thrive.

Joshua and I share a passion for fun and adventure. We love cooking, playing games, and spending time outdoors. We enjoy exploring nature, from hiking trails to sandy beaches. Our home is often filled with music and laughter, and we love hosting friends and family for gatherings. We’re committed to providing a nurturing environment where our child can reach their full potential.

Our Family

We’ve been together for 3 1/2 years, always dreaming of building a family. After exploring traditional paths and IVF, we’ve embraced adoption as a fulfilling way to expand our family. Our immediate family, Joshua’s mother Maria, and Erica’s parents, Irwin and Ileene live nearby and provide constant love and support. Our families share many different traditions and holiday gatherings. Our child would grow up surrounded by loving relatives and friends, including our close friends with children. We believe our family offers a supportive, loving environment where our child can thrive and build lasting relationships.

Final Thoughts

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to share our story with you and admire your strength and love in considering adoption. We look forward to providing a loving and supportive home for a child in need, honoring their history and heritage, and sharing updates with the birth parents. Our hearts are open, and we promise a life full of love, laughter, and endless possibilities.
