Pooja

pooja ft

I am 45 years old and live in Manhattan. I’m a fun-loving, kind, and genuine nerd! I am a child of immigrant parents and was raised in NJ. I love being on the East Coast because of the vast diversity and culture! I have lived in NYC for 20+ years, and I still find this city to be amazing! I love to travel, exercise, read, learn, watch tv and do crafts, amongst other things. I take pride in balancing my work life with my personal life. Taking time for myself and spending time with my loved ones is an important priority to me.

I’ve wanted to become a mom for as long as I can remember, and I cannot wait until I am blessed! I love children and am lucky to have been around them my entire life, from my mother’s house-run daycare center to watching my five nieces and nephews grow up! These kids became my world, and I love spending time with them, playing and learning with them! I cannot wait to expand my family and share my amazing circle with a little soul meant for me. I have been blessed with such a loving family and friends who are super supportive of me and my growing family.

About Pooja

Job: I work in finance as a portfolio manager for a large money manager. I have worked in the same industry for my entire career, and I still love it!

Hobbies: Outside of work, I love to see my family and friends, I travel as much as possible, and I love to read and listen to music (amongst other things).

Fun Fact: I have visited over 50 countries so far in my life, and I geek out on true crime shows and podcasts.

My Life

I lead a very active life, working during the week with weekends devoted to seeing family/friends and traveling. During the week, I spend most evenings at home. I work in the office four days/week, so I love to unwind and relax in the evening. Sometimes it’s dinner with friends, sometimes it’s cooking at home and watching a good TV show. Weekends are typically filled with travel, family, and friends. With my family close by in NJ, I spend a lot of time with them. My mother is an AMAZING cook, and we all love to spend time at my sister’s pool. I love to travel and explore, so visiting friends who are out of state or heading off to a different country to explore new cities and cultures is often in the cards. I cannot wait to share my life, culture, family, and hobbies with my child!

My Family

I am so grateful for the people I have in my circle. My parents immigrated here in the 1960s and currently reside in NJ, as do the families of my sister and my brother. My brother has two children, ages 18 and 20, and my sister has three children, ages 11, 9, and 9. We are very close-knit and try to see each other at least once a month. We love to celebrate holidays together and do something unique at each one, such as games, crafts, or even just a different cuisine. We love to “play” Holi with colored powder, paint diyas for Diwali, cook together for Thanksgiving, and do Secret Santa for Christmas. My close friends have become just like family to me. We try to meet as often as schedules allow, and I am an “Aunty” to my friend’s kids! I was also just named godmother to the cutest 6-month-old!

Final Thoughts

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I would be honored to walk this journey with you – and I’m sending you strength and kindness as you make your decision.
