Hi, we’re Ryan and Brennan. Thanks for spending a little time getting to know us. We won’t pretend to know what this decision feels like or assume what you will choose. We hope this profile gives you a clear and honest picture of who we are, what our life is like, and how we think about becoming parents.
We met for brunch in 2021 and kept talking as we walked through Central Park until Ryan suddenly realized he had forgotten about a haircut appointment and had to rush off in hopes of still making it. He didn’t. Five years later, we still lose track of time talking to each other. Being together feels easy and dependable, with plenty of affection and a lot to laugh about, and we are excited to see how our lives change when we become parents.
About Ryan

Ryan leads software engineering teams. Earlier in his career, he taught students in grades 3 through 8. That experience showed him that children need consistency, but they do not all need the same thing. He learned to notice how each child communicates, what helps them build confidence, and when to offer structure versus room to figure something out.
Ryan grew up in Toronto, has family roots in Hong Kong, and spent part of high school in Beijing. He is disciplined, curious, and adventurous in ways that sometimes surprise people. He trains for fitness races, plays video games, is learning guitar, and takes classes at a trapeze school. Around the children in our lives, he is patient, engaged, and very willing to be goofy.
About Brennan

Brennan leads a business in AI services, work that suits his curiosity and his love of bringing people together to solve complicated problems. He is warm and social, and is happiest cooking for people, listening to music, or sitting around a table with friends long after dinner is over.
Brennan grew up in Rhode Island and later spent several years living and working in China. The experience changed how he sees the world and gave him a lasting love of travel, different cultures, and trying new foods. He is usually the person planning the next dinner, inviting another friend along, or experimenting with a recipe that he hopes everyone else will like as much as he does.
