David is a Partner with Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, specializing in appellate, commercial and securities litigation, and international arbitration. He served on the Spence-Chapin Board of Directors from 2000-2016 and re-joined the Board in 2021. During his time on the Board, he has served as the Vice-Chair of the Board and Chair of the Legal & Risk Management Committee. David received his BA from Harvard University and his JD from Columbia Law School. Prior to joining Boies Schiller Flexner LLP in 2000, David was a law professor and practiced at major New York City law firms. Earlier in his career, he served in the United States Department of Justice and clerked for Justice Thurgood Marshall of the US Supreme Court. In addition to Spence-Chapin, David serves on the boards of the Fund for Modern Courts and Video Volunteers and on Columbia Law School’s Board of Visitors.
