Broadway Stars Take Center Stage at 54 Below for a One-Time-Only Production to Celebrate Family and Support Spence-Chapin

On April 3, 2025, Broadway’s bright stars—including David Beach, Raymond J. Lee, Gerard Salvador, Eric Fotre Leach, Carlos Encinias, and Anne Tolpegin—will gather at 54 Below for a one-time-only production filled with music, celebration, and heartfelt connection, all in support of Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children. This special benefit event will shine a spotlight not only on world-class talent but also on the powerful stories of family, love, and support that tie the performers to Spence-Chapin’s mission.

For over a century, Spence-Chapin has been a leader in adoption and family services, providing compassionate support to women, children, and families. Many of the evening’s Broadway stars are connected to adoption or are adoptive parents themselves.

Committee members Raymond J. Lee and Gerard Salvador, along with fellow Broadway performer Carlos Encinias, are proud adoptive parents who have experienced firsthand the warmth, guidance, and lifelong support Spence-Chapin provides to families. Further highlighting the theme of family, committee member and former board member David Beach’s daughter, Sadie, will be performing a special song in the evening.

Eric Fotre Leach, the evening’s musical director, also shares a meaningful connection to Spence-Chapin, which supported his family on their adoption journey.

“This event beautifully illustrates what Spence-Chapin stands for—ensuring families of all shapes and sizes have the love, resources, and support they need to thrive,” said Kate Trambitskaya, CEO at Spence-Chapin. “Our work is about helping families navigate every step of the adoption journey with compassion and care, and the stories shared on this stage reflect the deep impact of that mission.”

In addition to these inspiring personal connections, the event will celebrate families in all their forms—from adoptive parents and birth families to adoptees discovering their own paths. It will also highlight the many ways Spence-Chapin continues to provide vital support, whether through options counseling for expectant parents, comprehensive adoption services, or ongoing guidance for families navigating life after adoption.

As families continue to evolve, so does the need for strong support systems. Spence-Chapin has been that unwavering source of stability for thousands of families, helping them overcome challenges, build lasting connections, and ensure that every child can grow up in a safe, loving home.

Join us on April 3 for this one-time-only Broadway production at 54 Below—an unforgettable evening of music and meaningful storytelling. Together, we can celebrate the power of family and ensure Spence-Chapin continues its vital work for generations to come.
