Adopting Across Race: Relationships with Siblings and Friends

Join us for an open discussion about adoption, race and identity. This interactive virtual event with will explore the layered dynamics of sibling and friend relationships including those across race and within the same racial or cultural groups. Come with your questions, comments and ideas!

Zack Fried, a transracial adoptee with a strong passion for discussing all things adoption, will be with us for the event to share his experiences. Zack is the Associate Director of Adoption STAR, a child welfare agency with locations in New York, Ohio and Florida. He is a dedicated adoption professional who is also the facilitator of ACE (Adoptee Circle of Experience support group) providing support for adult adoptees. He believes that each member of the adoption triad (birth parents, adoptive parents, and adoptees) are incredibly valuable to the adoption community. Zack has 9 younger siblings, and including Zack, 6 of the 10 were adopted.
