Parenting Across Race: Hair Care and Identity, Part II

  •  May 18, 2021
     7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us as we discuss hair care and identity formation for children who have curly and coily hair. We will discuss caring for curly and afro-textured hair, building self-esteem, hair as a part of your identity, caring for hair in the summer months, techniques/products for keeping textured hair healthy, and much more. All adoptive families are welcome to attend, whether you are waiting to become a parent or you have been doing your child’s hair for years. This will be an open discussion group event, so feel free to bring questions, comments, and advice. This event will take place virtually.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

** We have chosen the Go to Webinar Platform to respect that during the exploration phase, some families are not yet ready to share their hopes to adopt with others and in Go to Webinar, your names and faces will not be visible to other participants. But we are always happy to support families in building an adoption community! If you do feel ready to connect with other pre-adoptive or adoptive parents, please let us know and we can facilitate introductions for those who wish to be connected to other families.**
