Pre-Adoption Training: Openness and Talking About Adoption in International Adoption

This training will cover how to talk with your child about their adoption story and birth family as they grow and how to respond to questions and comments from others. Participants are asked to watch the documentary You Follow, which is available online, prior to the training.

There is no separate fee for this training for families adopting through an international adoption program at Spence-Chapin or who are completing their international adoption home study with Spence-Chapin. Families who are not completing their home study with Spence-Chapin nor adopting in a Spence-Chapin international program are welcome to attend at a fee of $40 (per person or per couple).
