We are Ricardo and Susana. Susana and I met in Portugal in 2005 and got married in 2007. In 2010 we moved to London and after 5 years, Ricardo was relocated to New York City. We live in New Jersey with our dog Alvin, it’s a good balance between our work days in Manhattan and slower pace life of the suburbs in New Jersey. Since we got married, we always talked about adoption and now it’s the right time to grow our family. We are very excited to welcome a child in our lives.

I am a Soccer fanatic. I love to watch my Portuguese soccer team play. Recently S.L. Benfica came to play the International cup at the Red Bull Arena and I was able to go to the match.
Our Lives
During the week most of our day is spent working in Manhattan. When we get home, we take our Yorkie, Alvin, to the park. Susana likes to cook healthy homemade meals every day. Usually we end up our day watching some of our favorite TV series or movies.During the weekends, we go groceries shopping to prepare for the week. Ricardo is usually busy around the house, mowing the lawn or gardening. Some weekends we like going to the movies or to a museum. We like to spend time with our friends and during summer we have BBQ almost every weekend. We like to try new foods and restaurants, we love to travel and explore new places.
Our Family
We are very close to our family, we speak with our parents very often and we go to Portugal every year. Ricardo’s Dad passed away in 2015, and his Mother lives with Ricardo’s oldest sister and niece. His brother also lives in Portugal, close to their Mother, and he has 2 children. Susana’s Parents live in the same city as Ricardo’s family. They also have a countryside house in a small village, where Susana’s extended family also lives. Susana is the oldest of two siblings. Susana’s brother and wife live in London. He has one son. Our family also like to come and stay with us. Being far from our family makes our friends our extended family, we are lucky and blessed to live close to our good friends and have their support.
