We are looking for a loving adoptive family for a sweet little boy, Jasper, whom we met with in Colombia. Jasper is 9 years old and currently resides in a children’s home. Jasper loves soccer, playing outside and eating French fries. He does not like broccoli.
When our team met Jasper in November 2023, we played together on an outdoor play structure and inside on an electric piano. Jasper was happy, silly and playful and enjoyed adult attention and praise.
Jasper currently struggles with academics and at times with some challenging behaviors, but his caregivers are working to help him overcome these challenges.
Children like Jasper, who are considered ‘waiting children’ generally have multi-faceted characteristics and needs which exceed the common characteristics and needs of children otherwise placed in one of our international programs. We are looking for the right family for waiting children because of their unique needs and vulnerabilities.
More information about Jasper and his specific needs can be received after speaking with a member of our team.
*If you are interested in adopting Jasper but finances are a potential barrier, please speak with a member of our team as assistance may be available.
To learn more about Jasper, contact our Adoption Team at 212-400-8150 or email us at [email protected]
If you receive and accept the referral of Jasper through Spence-Chapin, you will benefit from the generosity of our new BriDen Adoption Fund, which can offset the costs of adopting an international Waiting Child by $5,000! The BriDen Adoption fund is made possible by the generosity of a Spence-Chapin donor.
