Marta Goldman

Chief Development Officer

Marta Goldman is the Chief Development Officer for Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children, where she leads the organization’s philanthropic strategy and oversees fundraising, donor engagement, and partnership development. She works closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to strengthen individual support, develop philanthropic partnerships, and expand the reach of Spence-Chapin’s mission.

Marta brings more than a decade of experience in fundraising, communications, and nonprofit leadership. Prior to joining Spence-Chapin, she led fundraising and communications for two human services organizations, where she oversaw multi-year revenue expansion, reimagined events, strengthened institutional partnerships, and transformed donor engagement practices. Earlier roles at Yale University, the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, and regional nonprofits shaped her expertise in major gifts, board development, and mission-driven storytelling. Before her career in the nonprofit sector, Marta founded and developed a small business into a national franchise system.

Marta received a bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany and a master’s degree from Northeastern University.
