Since 1995, Spence-Chapin has found adoptive families for more than 600 children who are medically fragile.
This unique program is able to find incredible, permanent families across the nation for children in need of permanent families who are able to care for their lifelong needs. We invite you to become a supporter of this remarkable and critical program.
For every three months spent in an orphanage, a child will lose one month of linear growth in the absence of proper intervention. The Granny Program provides this intervention by bringing loving caregivers, or “Grannies,” from the local community to spend one-on-one time with each child, every day, supporting 180 children in Colombia and South Africa.
Spence-Chapin provides counseling, support services, and community programming to children, women, and families every day. From mentorship programs for teens to peer support groups for parents to annual gatherings for birth parents and everything in between, Spence-Chapin is there for families every step of the way…thanks to you.
As a reminder, certain charitable giving incentives that were created during the pandemic are still in effect this calendar year and allow individuals to deduct up to $300 and married couples filing joint returns up to $600 on their 2021 taxes regardless of how they do their deductions (standard or itemized). For those who itemize, deductions for contributions can be applied up to 100% of adjusted gross income, rather than the normal 20-60%. These incentives allow you to make an even greater impact this year
